How to Check Server Information in WHM?
As a reseller, you sometimes need your server's technical details — hostname, IP address, operating system version, and installed software versions — for troubleshooting, configuring email clients, or setting up nameservers.
View Server Information in WHM
- Login to WHM.
- Go to Server Configuration → Server Information.
- This page displays:
- Server Hostname: The server's FQDN (e.g., server1.skphost.net)
- Server IP Address: Main IP of the server
- Operating System: Linux distribution and version (e.g., AlmaLinux 8.9)
- cPanel Version: Current version of cPanel/WHM installed
- Apache Version: Web server version
- PHP Version: Default PHP version
- MySQL Version: Database server version
- Kernel Version: Linux kernel version
Quick Info from WHM Dashboard
The WHM home page sidebar also shows a brief server info summary including hostname, IP, and cPanel version.

Tip: Keep your server hostname and IP address noted in a secure place. You will need them frequently for client onboarding, nameserver setup, and support requests.
