How to Configure Default PHP Version for All New Accounts in WHM?

When you create new client accounts in WHM, they inherit a default PHP version. Setting the correct default PHP version ensures new sites work out of the box without needing per-account adjustments.

Set Default PHP Version via MultiPHP Manager

1. Login to WHM.
2. Go to Software → MultiPHP Manager.
3. Click the PHP Versions tab.
4. Under System PHP Version, select the PHP version you want to use as the server-wide default (e.g., PHP 8.2).
5. Click Apply.

All new accounts created after this change will use the selected PHP version by default.

Change PHP Version for a Specific Client Account

1. Go to WHM → Software → MultiPHP Manager.
2. Click the Home tab.
3. Find the client's domain in the list.
4. Check the box next to their domain.
5. Select the PHP version from the dropdown at the top.
6. Click Apply.
