How to Access Web Disk (WebDAV) in cPanel
Web Disk (WebDAV) allows you to access and manage your hosting files directly from your computer as if it were a local network drive — no FTP client required. You can drag, drop, edit, and delete files just like a regular folder on your desktop.
Steps to Create a Web Disk Account
- Login to cPanel.
- Under the Files section, click Web Disk.
- Click Create Additional Web Disk Accounts.
- Fill in:
- Username: Enter a username for this Web Disk account.
- Domain: Select your domain.
- Password: Set a strong password.
- Directory: Set the folder this account can access (default:
public_html). - Permissions: Choose Read-Write or Read-Only.
- Click Create.
Connecting Web Disk on Windows
- Open File Explorer.
- Click This PC → Map network drive or Add a network location.
- Enter the WebDAV URL:
https://yourdomain.com:2078 - Enter your Web Disk username and password when prompted.
- The folder will appear as a network drive.
Connecting Web Disk on Mac
- Open Finder → Go → Connect to Server.
- Enter:
https://yourdomain.com:2078 - Click Connect and enter your credentials.
Note: Web Disk uses port 2078 (SSL) or 2077 (non-SSL). SKPHost recommends always using port 2078 for a secure encrypted connection.
