How to Change the cPanel Password?

Regularly changing your cPanel password is good security practice. You can change your cPanel password either from within cPanel itself or from your SKPHost Client Area.

Method 1: Change Password Inside cPanel

1. Login to cPanel.
2. In the top right corner, click your username.
3. Click Password & Security.
4. Enter your current password.
5. Enter and confirm your new password. Use the password strength meter as a guide.
6. Click Change Your Password Now!

Method 2: Change Password from SKPHost Client Area

1. Login to your SKPHost Client Area at https://console.skphost.net/login.
2. Go to My Services and click on your hosting account.
3. Click Change Password.
4. Enter and confirm your new password.
5. Click Save Changes.

Your cPanel password will be updated immediately. Use the new password for all future logins.

Password Security Tips

• Use at least 12 characters combining uppercase, lowercase, numbers, and symbols.
• Never reuse passwords across multiple accounts.
• Consider using a password manager like Bitwarden or 1Password.
