How to View and Manage cPanel Account Summary?

The cPanel Account Summary gives you a quick overview of your hosting account's current usage and resource limits. It helps you monitor your account health at a glance.

Accessing Account Summary

The account summary is displayed in the right-hand sidebar of the cPanel home screen under the Statistics section. It shows:

  • Disk Usage: Space used vs. total allocated (e.g., 2.3 GB / 10 GB).
  • Bandwidth: Monthly data transfer used vs. limit.
  • Domains: Number of addon domains used vs. limit.
  • Subdomains: Active subdomains count.
  • Email Accounts: Created vs. max allowed.
  • Mailing Lists: Active mailing lists.
  • MySQL Databases: Created vs. max allowed.
  • FTP Accounts: Active FTP accounts.
  • Cron Jobs: Number of scheduled tasks.

Understanding Resource Limits

When a resource shows ∞ (Unlimited), there is no hard cap set on your plan for that resource. However, server resources (CPU, RAM) are always shared and subject to fair use policies.

What to Do If You Hit a Limit

  • Disk full: Delete unused files, emails, or old backups. Or upgrade your plan.
  • Bandwidth exceeded: Your site may be temporarily suspended. Upgrade your plan or optimize your site.
  • Max email accounts reached: Delete unused email accounts or upgrade to a plan with more accounts.
