How to Add a Hosting Package (Plan) in WHM?
A Package in WHM is a hosting plan template that defines the resources and features for client accounts. You should create your packages before creating any client accounts.
Steps to Add a Package
- Login to WHM.
- Go to Packages → Add a Package.
- Fill in the package details:
- Package Name: e.g., Starter, Business, Pro, WordPress Hosting
- Disk Space (MB): e.g., 5120 for 5GB
- Monthly Bandwidth (MB): e.g., 51200 for 50GB
- Max FTP Accounts: Number of FTP users allowed
- Max Email Accounts: e.g., 10 or unlimited (0 = unlimited)
- Max Email Lists: Mailing list limit
- Max SQL Databases: MySQL database count
- Max Sub Domains: Subdomain limit
- Max Parked Domains: Alias domain limit
- Max Addon Domains: Extra hosted domains limit
- Under Settings: Select the Feature List to use (controls which cPanel tools clients see).
- Under Dedicated IP: Leave unchecked unless the client needs a dedicated IP.
- Click Add.
Tip: Use 0 for unlimited on any resource field. For example, entering 0 in Max Email Accounts means the client can create unlimited email accounts.
Viewing Your Packages
- Go to WHM → Packages → Edit a Package.
- Select any package from the dropdown to view or edit its settings.
