How to Use the WHM Account Search Tool?

When you have many client accounts, finding a specific account quickly is important. WHM provides multiple ways to search for accounts by domain, username, email, or IP address.

Method 1: Search in List Accounts

1. Login to WHM.
2. Go to Account Information → List Accounts.
3. In the Search box at the top of the table, type:
   • Domain name (e.g., clientdomain.com)
   • Username (e.g., clientus)
   • Email address (e.g., client@gmail.com)
4. The table filters in real time to show matching accounts.

Method 2: Search for an Account by Domain

1. Go to WHM → Account Information → Find Accounts by Domain.
2. Enter the domain name (primary or addon domain).
3. Click Search.
4. WHM returns the cPanel account that owns that domain.

Method 3: WHM Global Search Bar

The search bar at the top of the WHM left sidebar searches WHM tools and features — not accounts. Use it to quickly find WHM tools like "backup", "suspend", "quota", etc.

Method 4: Find an Account by IP Address

1. Go to WHM → Account Information → List Accounts.
2. Look at the IP Address column to find accounts on a specific IP.
3. Or search by IP in the search box.

Tip: Bookmark the List Accounts page in your browser for quick daily access. As your client base grows, you will use this page multiple times a day.
