How to Manage Reseller Privileges in WHM?

If you have created sub-reseller accounts, you can control exactly which WHM features and actions they can perform using the Reseller Center in WHM. This prevents sub-resellers from doing things outside their scope.

Access Reseller Center

  1. Login to WHM.
  2. Go to Resellers → Reseller Center.
  3. Select the sub-reseller username from the dropdown.

Edit Reseller Privileges

  1. Click Edit Privileges for the selected sub-reseller.
  2. You can grant or revoke access to specific WHM functions:
    • Create Accounts
    • Modify Accounts
    • Suspend / Unsuspend Accounts
    • Terminate Accounts
    • Change Passwords
    • View Bandwidth Usage
    • DNS Zone Management
    • Allow Overselling (grant only if trusted)
    • Kill Processes (restricted to trusted resellers)
  3. Click Save.

Set Resource Limits for Sub-Resellers

  1. In Reseller Center, click Edit Resource Limits.
  2. Set:
    • Maximum Disk Space: Total disk the sub-reseller can allocate across their accounts.
    • Maximum Bandwidth: Total bandwidth allocation.
    • Maximum Accounts: How many cPanel accounts they can create.
  3. Click Save.

Best Practice: Start sub-resellers with limited privileges and expand their access gradually as trust is established. Never grant terminate privileges until you are confident in their judgment.
